Jeffrey Cohen and Raymond Cortell form Joint Venture
New York, NV/Las Vegas, NV: May 13, 2009 ... Jeffrey W. Cohen, former President of Maupintour, and Raymond M. Cortell of the Cortell Group have announced the formation of a joint venture to promote and sell "niche-market" travel programs.
Cohen first joined Maupintour in late 2002 to assist in rebuilding its marketing efforts, rising from General Manager to the company's President, during which time he brought the Maupintour brand back to its legendary reputation and expanded its market presence on five continents. In December 2006, Cohen departed Maupintour to pursue a variety of corporate and internet ventures through his own company, JWCE, LLC, including providing travel programs for the disabled through Diversity World Traveler, one of the JWCE brands.
About this new joint venture, Cohen said, "I am pleased to again be working with an established and reputable organization, headed by Raymond M. Cortell, and to be able to bring these products to the forefront of their markets so that all can enjoy the special experiences they provide."
Raymond Cortell headed The Cortell Group prior to that corporation being sold to a California travel communication company. Since then, he has been developing and selling special interest tours that focus on the Body, Mind, Spirit and Wellness traveler, as well as to the African-American vacationer.
"Our promotion and distribution was mainly consumer-driven through our web sites, and until we teamed up with Jeff and his group, we never felt we were in a position to accommodate the Travel Agent, nor expand our delivery system," Cortell said. "With Jeff and his staff, we can now accomplish all of these goals."

Body Mind Spirit Journeys are divided into four distinct travel programs. Sacred Journeys feature a limited number of departures led and hosted by some of the most important authors, teachers, personalities and lecturers in their fields to connect with the powerful energies of the world's most important ancient sacred sites. BMSJ "Lite" is a new Body Mind Spirit Journeys division, catering to people who are curious about sacred travel. It features tours that are locally-hosted or operated in conjunction with other spiritual travel companies with just enough spirituality to satisfy that inquisitiveness for some, while whetting the appetite for those who wish to eventually "graduate" to the more intensive sacred tours offered in our Sacred Journeys & Women's Sacred Travel divisions.Wellness Tours and Retreats are holidays that comfort the entire being--with a focus on hikes, walks, natural foods, spirituality, meditation and yoga. Body Mind Spirit Journeys feature tours to Egypt, Ireland, England, Tibet, Mongolia, Greece, Peru and Sedona to explore those countries' spiritual elements.
African American Journeys are for travelers who not only want to understand the social, cultural and religious aspects of a society, but also want to discover that place in their consciousness.
